dc.description.abstract Nonlinear conjugate gradient (CG) methods are currently considered to be one of most important techniqu es for solving large - scale unconstrained optimization problems. The main objective of present work is to propose a new method to improve the CG coefficient that possesses sufficient descent and global convergent properties under exact line searches. The n umerical outcome established on number of iteration and CPU time shows that the proposed coefficient is more effective when compared with other CG formulas. en_US
