Exploring Common Writing errors Made by Tertiary Level EFL Learners (A case Study : Red Sea university)

Abstract

Abstract The study addressed the subject of Exploring Common Writing errors Made by Tertiary Level EFL Learners and aimed at shed light on the different aspects of Writing. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach as Well as the historical approach in the literature review, besides the statistical approach to analyze the data collected from community sample. The study Came up With to several results, The most of Which Stated as The Following: Writing skill can be developed through teaching short stories and grammar short stories are enjoyable material, teaching short stories develop the language aspects writing and thinking skills can be developed through teaching short stories and grammar. Based on the above results, the study recommends the following: Teaching have to redouble their intense of punctuation marks lessons to their pupils, presenting grammar lessons should be in enjoyable way , teachers have to increase their effort to develop writing skills to their pupils and Methodologies have to reconsideration on the type of curriculums to be adopted with the pupils level of aware.

مستخلص : تناولت الدراسة موضوع أخطاء الكتابة الأكثر شيوعا وسط طلاب الجامعة ، هدفت على إلقاء الضوء على الجوانب المختلفة للموضوع . اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي وكذلك التاريخي في عرض الموضوع ، بجانب الإحصائي لتحليل بيانات الدراسة التي تم تجميعها من عينة الدراسة. توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج منها : يمكن تحسين مهارة الكتابة من خلال تدريس القصص القصيرة وقواعد اللغة ، القصص القصيرة مادة ممتعة ، تدريس القصص القصيرة يطور الجوانب اللغوية ، يمكن تطوير مهارة التفكير والكتابة خلال تدريس القصص القصيرة وقواعد اللغة . بناء على النتائج المذكورة أعلاه ، توصي الدراسة بما يلي: يجب على المعلمين التكثيف من دروس علامات الترقيم لتلاميذهم ، يجب أن يتم تدريس قواعد اللغة بطريقة ممتعة ، يجب على المعلمين مضاعفة جهودهم لتطوير مهارات الكتابة ويجب على علماء المنهج إعادة النظر في المناهج التي ستبنى على مستوى وعي التلاميذ.
