Phytochemical Screening of Mangrove (Avicenna marina) Seedlings and Effects of Extracts on Some Pathogens (Bacteria and Fungi). Abstract

The present study focused on A.marina seedlings showed that the and the seedlings contain Sapoonines, Steroids, Glycoside, Conumarins and Triterpenes. Average age of seedlings suitable for harvest is 54 days, mean height 25.0cm, mean fresh and dry weight of seedlings were 6.8 g and 2g, respectively. As for the anti–oxidant activity, high value was reported 92 ± 0.02 % using DPPH method. On the other hand, cytotoxicity examination revealed low value IC50 124.23 µg/ml. Mineral screening was revealed that Potassium reported the highest value k =0.20% among examined minerals .The crude fats value is 4.706%. A.marina seedlings ethanol extract had adverse effects on some harmful bacteria namely Bacillus subtilis, Pseuomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Staphloccus aureus, and also the fungi species Candida albicans and Aspregillus niger. While the water extract had no effect on the pathogens. The soil texture used for seedlings germination was examined for the results revealed that it is composed of small gravel 0.32g, sand is very rough 2.55g, coarse sand 5.74g, average sand 8.32g, Fine sand 12.12g, very fine sand 13.11g, mud 54.72g, clay 3.12g. The planting material was observed to be available in sufficient amounts during December2018 to February in 2019 although the seedlings were available almost during the year round. The questionnaire to detect socio-economic awareness level about benefits of A. marina seedlings showed that 53.5% of the interviewed were aware by its medicinal value. المستخلص متوسط أعمار البادرات حوالي 54 يوم، متوسط الأطوال 25 سم، متوسط الوزن الرطب 6.8 جم ومتوسط الوزن الجاف 2 جم، ونسبة الرطوبة 1,42 جم. وأوضح تحليل التركيب الكيميائي لبادرات المانجروف نوع القرم أنها تحتوي على صابونيات – تانينات – استيروليزات - تيربينات – كومارينات. أظهرت الدراسة الحالية التي تركز علي بادرات القرم احتوائها علي مضادات أكسدة مضادات مرتفع حتى 0.02±92% واستخدمت طريقة 2،2 ثنائي -1-فينيل بيكريل هيدرازيل. كشف فحص السمية الخلوية عن انخفاض قيمة السمية الخلوية التركيز = 124.23مايكرو جم \مل واستخدمت طريقة نشاط الخلية الاستقلابي. أوضح فحص المعادن أن أعلى نسبة للبوتاسيوم 0.20%، ونسبة الدهون الخام 4.706%. ومكونات فعالة ضد الميكروبات وأن المستخلص الإيثانولي له أثار ضارة على بكتريا (العصوية الرقيقة-الزائفة الزنجارية-الإشريكة القولونية-المكورات العنقودية الذهبية) وفطريات (المبيضات البيض-الرشاشيات). كما تم فحص خاصية إنبات التربة المستخدمة في انبات بادرات المانجروف وأظهرت النتائج أنها تتكون من حصى صغير..320 جم - رمل خشن جداً 5. 52 جم -الرمل خشن 745. جم – رمل متوسط 8.32جم – رمل ناعم 12.12 جم– رمل ناعم جداً 13.11 جم-الغرين.7254جم –الصلصال.123جم. تم دعم نتائج العمل المعملي بمسوحات لتقدير التوزيع والوفرة الموسمية للبادرات التى تنمو بشكل طبيعي في مواقع مختلفة، ولوحظ تواجد البادرات بكميات كافية خلال الفترة من ديسمبر2018 إلى فبراير2019 على الرغم من ملاحظة توافرها تقريباً خلال العام. أجري إستبيان لمعرفة مستوى الوعي الاجتماعي والاقتصادي حول فوائد بادرات المانجروف (القرم) أن 53.5% من الذين تمت مقابلتهم على دراية بقيمتها الطبية.
