Descriptive Text In Investigating Teachers Attitudes Towards The English Teaching Methods at Basic level (Case Study Port Sudan 2020-2021)

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the different methods of teaching and choose the best of them in teaching English language to the basic level students. this study also help the language teachers to mange their classes in successful way, moreover it motivate students in using English language naturally. also to investigate the implementation by using pair work and group work methods to student in basic level .the researcher used descriptive analytical method to deal with the data gathered for the research. Instrument used in the research is questionnaires for both male and female teachers. The researcher analyzed data that were gathered through the questionnaire came up with different of findings among which are : 1. Most of teachers of basic level schools use the Grammar translation method in teaching. 2. Some of the teachers use the techniques of reading and listening more than pair and group work in their classes. 3. Most of the basic level teachers focus on teacher centered teaching. 4. student don’t participate in speaking activates because they afraid of making mistakes while they are speaking in the class room . Finally the researcher reached to recommendation of the study which : 1. that careful attention should be paid while choosing the methods of teaching a language . 2. give students more time to practice the language . 3. teacher should motivate student in using the language by engaged them to group work and pair work to develop their communication.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى النظر في طرق التعليم المختلفة واختيار افضل وسيلة منها لتعليم اللغة الانجليزية لطلاب المدارس الأساسية تساعد هذه الدراسة اساتذة اللغة الانجليزية في ادارة صفوفهم بطريقه ناجحة كما تهدف الي مساعدة الطلاب وتشجيعهم على استخدام اللغة الانجليزية بشكل طبيعي. تهدف ايضا الى تنفيذ طريقتي العمل الجماعي والثنائي داخل الصفوف على مستوى المدارس الأساسية. الباحث استخدم المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في جمع البيانات ومن الادوات التي استخدمها الباحث في جمع البيانات هي الاستبانة للأساتذة الرجال والنساء. بعد قيام الباحث بتحليل الاستبانات خرج بالنتائج التالية: 1. يستخدم معظم المعلمين في المرحلة الأساسية طريقة الترجمة النحوية لتدريس اللغة الإنجليزية. 2. معظم المعلمين يستخدمون تقنية القراءة والاستماع اكثر من تقنية العمل الثنائي والجماعي. 3. معظم التلاميذ يمتنعون عن المشاركة داخل الفصل لخوفهم من ارتكاب الاخطاء. اخيرا خرج الباحث بالتوصيات الآتية: 1. يجب علي اساتذة اللغة الإنجليزية اعطاء التلاميذ وقت اطول لممارسة اللغة. 2. استخدام طريقه المجموعات والعمل الثنائي. 3. تشجيع الطلاب على ممارسة اللغة داخل الفصل بأكبر قدر ممكن لتطوير مهارة التحدث.
