An Investigation of Composition Writing at Secondary Level Schools

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the teaching of composition writing which guides both teachers and students to write composition well according to the scientific way. The researcher's main interest is to look into this problem. The subjects are the learners of English language at secondary level schools in Port Sudan Town. The researcher tries to determine and classify the problems that hinder the composition writing. Also, to evaluate and suggest the ways of composition writing. The study tools used a descriptive analytical nature focuses on composition writing. The researcher analyzed the components of composition writing . This descriptive approach leads to certain findings according to the methods adopted, hence the researcher uses the researcher's interpretation data clearly sufficient. The data collection tools, adopted by the researcher (the questionnaire and mix experimental). The findings of the study as follows: Different activities help to improve students’ writing in secondary level School s and exchange knowledge with each other(group work ) . The student's responses , it is observed that learners when tried to write, they were afraid of error's while writing a topic paragraph which guides composition writing inside classroom . Materials provided in the curriculum do not enable students to help each other in learning how to write effectively. Moreover, teachers in the same direction generate, and challenge students' task with activities such as writing in their exercise books inside and outside classroom. Before choosing teachers to teach, inspectors check their qualifications by conducting an interview with them. The researcher recommendations focus on the teaching of writing skills. The researcher wants both students and teachers pay close attention to create chances for teaching English language effectively. Both students and teachers need to improve best ways of teaching and learning to write composition skill well of the different activities which cause difficulties that hinder students in writing composition well. The most important recommendations of the study are: exchange experiences by teachers with each other, give students self- confidence to acquire English language, in writing composition skill according to the topic. المستخلص هدفت الدراسة إلي تدريس مهارة كتابة التعبير لمادة التعبير للغة الإنجليزية التي توجه كلا من المعلمين والطلاب كيفية كتابة التعبير بشكل جيد وفقا للطريقة العلمية. واهتمام الباحث الرٍئيسي هو النظر في هذه المشكلة .هذه المواد هي لمتعلمي اللغة الانجليزية في مدارس المرحلة الثانوية بمدينة بور تسودان . يحاول الباحث تحديد و تصنيف المشاكل التي تعوق كتابة التعبير وضع طرق لكتابة التعبير . الباحث ا ستخدم أدوات طبيعية وصفية تحليلية تركز علي كتابة التعبير. قام الباحث بتحليل مكونات كتابة التعبير بالانجليزية . يودي هذا المنهج الوصفي الي نتائج معينة وفقا للطريقة المعتمدة وبالتالي تستخدم بيانات التفسير الخاصة بالباحث , أدوات جمع البيانات التي اعتمدها الباحث هي الاستبيان والمزيج التجريبي. و نتائج الدراسة : من استجابات الطلاب لوحظ أن المتعلمين عندما حاولوا كتابة التعبير بالانجليزية كانوا يخشون من خطأ أثناء كتابة فقرة الموضوع ا لذي يوجه كتابة ا لتعبير داخل الفصول الدراسية. وتنويع النشاطات يساعد ويحسن طلاب الثانوية و يتبادلوا المعرفة مع بعضهم البعض من خلال عمل المجموعات. الكثرة من المواد تحسن الطلاب تساعدهم لاستيعاب المنهج وتساعدهم وفي كتابة التعبير على نحو فعال. وعلاوة علي ذلك , يقوم المعلمون في نفس الاتجاه بتشجيع وتحفيز الطلاب وتحديد لهم أنشطة مثل الكتابة علي دفتر التمارين الخاص بهم داخل الفصل الدراسي وخارجها . قبل اختيار المعلمين للتدريس يتحقق المفتشون من مرهلات المعلمين بإجراء مقابله معهم . تركزت توصيات الباحث علي تدريس مهارات الكتابة , يريد الباحث أن يهتم الطلاب والمعلمون علي حد السواء. بخلق فرص لتدريس اللغة الانجليزية يفعا ليه . يحتاج كل من الطلاب والمعلمين لتحسين أفضل طرق التدريس والتعليم لكتابة التعبير بالانجليزية في الأنشطة المختلفة التي تتسبب في صعوبات تعيق الطلاب في كتابة اللغة الانجليزية وفقا للطرق الحديثة. لاحظ ا لبا حث أن الأنشطة ا لي جانب المواد مهمة جدا للكتاب والمتعلمين لتحسين مهارة الكتابة. أهم توصيات الدراسة هي تبادل الخبرات بين المدرسين مع بعضهم البعض وإعطاء الطلاب الثقة بالنفس لاكتساب اللغة الانجليزية , ومعرفة قدرات الطلاب علي تغلب الصعوبات التي تعوق كتابة التعبير لمادة التعبير .
