Paragraph Writing Obstacles Among Students of Higher Secondary Level- In Port Sudan Locality

Abstract

This research attempts to investigate writing difficulties encountered by Sudanese EFL. Learners at higher secondary School in Red Sea State. The researcher has used two types of tools to meet the hypothesis these mentioned in chapter One, questionnaire prepares for ( 20 ) teacher of English and writing task for ( 50 ) learners of second class at 5 Schools for boys s and for girls in central locality to find Student's abilities on writing .The researcher has used the descriptive analytical method to analyze the collected data . The study found that learners suffer from many types of difficulties such as: grammatical difficulties, spelling and difficulties in organizing paragraph , that is why there is weakness in student's writing generally .The researcher recommends that students writing should be revised to address these problem of writing . Teachers of Schools should be aware of developing good writing paragraph in English. Teachers should consciously and constantly remind the students of need for cohesive. While writing. Writing approach will be very helpful if the learner will be given multiple opportunities for working on their drafts.

المستخلص يحاول هذا البحث التحقق من صعوبات كتابة الفقرة التي يواجهها الطلاب السودانيين في تعلم اللغة الانجليزية كلغة ثانية في المرحلة الثانوية بولاية البحر الأحمر في مدينة بورتسودان.استخدم الباحث نوعين من الأدوات لاستيفاء أطروحات الفرضية الواردة في الفصل الأول ، استبيان تمهيدي لـ (20) معلم لغة انجليزية ومهمة الكتابة لعدد (50) متعلم من الصف الثاني في (5) مدارس للبنين والبنات في محلية الأوسط ، استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لتحليل البيانات المجمعة . وجدت الدراسة أن المتعلمين يعانون من عدة أنواع من الصعوبات مثل النحوية الهجاء وصعوبات ترتيب الفقرة وهذا هو سبب ضعف كتابة الطلاب بشكل عام. يوصي الباحث بضرورة مراجعة كتابات الطلاب لمعالجة مشاكل الكتابة للفقرة الجيدة باللغة الانجليزية . يجب على المدرسين تذكير الطلاب وبوعي وباستمرار الحاجة الى التماسك اثناء الكتابة وهو مفيد للغاية حيث سيتم منح فرص متعددة للعمل على المسودات الخاصة .
